Within my arts practice, I work with Printmaking, photography and sculpture.
Each process offers me a way of developing ideas, focusing on altered perspective, balance and personal narrative. Each process brings its own delights and challenges in terms of experimentation and realisation of form.
My inspirations come from both city and rural, land and seascapes and the perspectives these provide.
I have worked with printmaking for the last 30 years but have recently started to use a new way of working, that combines both intaglio and surface printed shaped collagraph plates. (thank you Charles Shearer). This new way of working allows me to combine clean areas of Monochrome compositions, with texture and sometimes colour.
This current body of work focuses on using impossibly balanced ‘vessels’ containing imagery and narratives from my current inspirations.
