I Studied for a BA in Fine Art Sculpture at Sheffield Hallam University.
I now work as a printmaker using reduction lino print and other print media to create hand printed works in small editions and as 'one offs'. I make variable editions enjoying the uniqueness of each print. I am an active member of Sheffield Printmakers taking part in exhibitions throughout Britain including, Water Street gallery Todmorden, Bangor Open North Wales, Great Sheffield Art show Con(r)ad Printswap Dundee and Wirksworth art trail.
Two current themes, 'What we leave behind us' considers how humans throughout history have a choice, to leave behind both the awesome and the awful. Human traces, good and bad are everywhere... A piece exploring this theme won The Friends of Buxton Museum and Art Gallery Prize in the Derbyshire Open Exhibition 2017.
My other theme is landscape. I aim to capture through colour and mark making, the moment of my experience of a place, the conditions and feelings of that moment and my awareness of the landscape's geology and archaeology.
